Lead Project Manager – Multi-Site BESS Delivery

Job summary

Regenerate Talent is partnering with a leading Australian energy developer to recruit an experienced Project Manager for a multi-site distributed BESS program, guiding delivery from FID to energisation and handover.

You will own scope, schedule, cost and HSSE outcomes, develop integrated plans, manage budgets and external contractors, and drive continuous improvement across the portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or higher) in engineering, construction management or related discipline.
• 7–10 years in project management or delivery roles.
• Experience in BESS, large-scale solar, renewable energy or infrastructure.
• Experience with EPC and construction contracts.
• Familiarity with Australian energy market frameworks (DNSP, AEMO).

Responsibilities

• Own scope, schedule, cost, quality and HSSE outcomes for a portfolio of concurrent distributed BESS sites.
• Develop integrated project plans, critical-path schedules and resourcing to meet milestones.
• Build and run a standardised, multi-site delivery model across multiple sites.
• Manage project budgets, cost forecasts and cash-flow projections; correct variances early.
• Lead project risk management through registers and governance forums.
• Mentor project coordinators and engineers within the delivery team.
• Champion HSSE in design and construction; embed safety in design and WHS management.
• Coordinate commissioning, energisation and handover to Asset Management.
• Coordinate connection approvals with DNSPs, AEMO and authorities to hit milestones.
• Report progress, cost, risk and schedule to the Delivery Director.
