Job summary

Goonyella site in Queensland is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead day-to-day production activities, ensure safety, and optimize equipment utilisation while supporting crews to meet plan.

You will bring at least 5 years in open cut coal mining, 2 years in supervision, knowledge of Queensland mining legislation and a C-class licence; the role offers a full-time roster and opportunities for development at BUMA Australia.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ production experience in open cut coal mining.
• Minimum 2 years’ supervisory experience in open cut coal mining.
• Strong knowledge of Queensland coal mining legislation and site safety requirements.
• Current C Class Driver’s Licence.
• Proven ability to motivate teams, communicate clearly and drive performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day control and supervision of production activities in accordance with site standards and mining legislation.
• Manage people and equipment to safely execute production plans and achieve targets.
• Allocate workloads across the production team and monitor performance to deliver quality outcomes.
• Provide visible leadership in the field, fostering a safe, inclusive and high-performing culture.
• Collaborate with the Production Superintendent to deliver production plans and identify improvement opportunities.
• Identify hazards, manage risk and ensure compliance with BUMA systems and client requirements.
