Job summary

Fortescue's Cloudbreak Ore Processing Facility seeks an experienced Leading Hand – Process Operator to support the day-to-day operation of the plant. Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, you will provide frontline leadership to Process Operators and coordinate crew priorities and activities, with FIFO from Perth, Busselton, Broome, Karratha, Port Hedland, Fitzroy Crossing and Kununurra.

Qualifications

• Experience in mineral processing or fixed plant operations.
• Previous Leading Hand or frontline supervision in high-risk environments.
• Strong knowledge of safe plant operation and risk management.
• Proven ability to lead and support a crew of operators.
• Excellent communication, planning and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work with Maintenance and other teams.
• Fortescue Values focused and maintaining a safe workplace.
• Schedule 26 Statutory Supervisor required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily process operations and crew priorities.
• Provide frontline leadership to Process Operators.
• Ensure work is completed safely per procedures.
• Identify hazards and manage operational risks.
• Liaise with Operations, Maintenance and support teams.
• Mentor and coach operators and develop new staff.
• Support safe start-ups, shutdowns and operations.
• Promote continuous improvement and high-performing culture.
