Job summary

Croydon Health Services invites applications for a Practice Development Nurse (0-19 Health Visiting and School Nursing), Band 7. The role focuses on delivering specialist clinical expertise, education, supervision and leadership across the 0-19 service.

You will lead the practice education agenda, plan and evaluate programmes, training and guidance for the 0-19 workforce, with emphasis on the Healthy Child Programme, and foster multi‑agency partnerships to improve outcomes for children.

Qualifications

• Attain academic credentials and clinical skills to practice as an NMC registered Specialist Community Public Health Nurse on Health Visiting/School Nursing pathway.
• Fulfil the SCPHN programme by attending university course dates and practice placement days in accordance with university regulations.
• Develop and achieve NMC Registration Standards for the SCPHN pathway.

Responsibilities

• Deliver specialist clinical expertise, education, supervision and leadership for babies, children and young people 0–19.
• Lead the practice education agenda across the 0–19 Service; plan, deliver and evaluate education programmes, training, guidance and consultation.
• Foster multi‑agency partnerships to improve outcomes for children; ensure high quality standards and staff competence.
