Job description

Lead Playwright Architect

We are looking for an experienced Lead Playwright Architect to design, build, and scale modern UI test automation frameworks using Playwright.

Exp: 8 years (6 years relevant in Playwright)

Responsibilities

• Architect and lead end-to-end UI automation frameworks using Playwright
• Define automation standards, best practices, and coding guidelines
• Lead POC development and framework enhancements
• Integrate Playwright with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, etc.)
• Collaborate with developers to enable shift‑left testing
• Review automation code and mentor QA engineers
• Provide technical leadership for test strategy and execution
• Ensure automation scalability, maintainability, and performance
• Hands‑on experience in test automation architecture & framework design
• Experience with CI/CD integration
• Knowledge of BDD/TDD and Agile methodologies
• Strong experience with Git, version control, and code reviews
• Excellent debugging, analytical, and problem‑solving skills

Good to Have

• Experience with API automation and test data management
• Exposure to cloud‑based test execution (AWS/Azure/GCP)
• Knowledge of performance and security testing
• Prior experience as Automation Lead / Architect
