Job summary

A Western Australian painting contractor based in Perth is seeking a Team Leader for its Painting Division. The ideal candidate will have commercial construction painting leadership experience and a proven record of delivering high-quality workmanship on schedule.

The role reports to the Painting Manager, leading multiple crews across sites, and is responsible for end-to-end project delivery while upholding strict safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Must be a Trade Certified Painter with a completed apprenticeship.
• Proven background as a leading hand or in a 2IC position.
• Able to manage projects as well as team members.
• Strong communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills.
• Able to interpret project drawings such as floor plans and elevations.
• Current National Criminal History Check required.
• Manual driver's license held.
• White card held.
• Applicants must not be subcontractors or ABN holders.
• Desirable: EWP and/or Working at Heights ticket.
• Desirable: First Aid
• Desirable: hands-on airless spraying experience.

Responsibilities

• Answer directly to the Painting Manager
• Keep crews motivated and work alongside them on numerous sites
• Run projects from start to finish
• Manage the members of your team
• Find fixes when issues arise, or work them through with the Painting Manager toward a positive result
• Maintain a safe workplace and follow OSH policies, company procedures and induction manuals
