Job summary

Autism Queensland Limited is seeking a Lead Occupational Therapist to provide leadership and strategic development of OT services and to advance AQ’s professional practice standards. You will support OTs delivering services to students on the autism spectrum to maximise daily living, participation, and meaningful activities.

You’ll lead professional development, collaborate with managers and HR, and contribute to recruitment, clinical supervision, and mentoring within the Practice Excellence

Qualifications

• Eight years of experience as a practicing Occupational Therapist.
• Registration with AHPRA is required.
• Provide First Aid with CPR certification required.
• NDIS Worker Screening Clearance for paid workers.
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module: Quality Safety and You completed.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and review of Occupational Therapy professional practice standards and service delivery models.
• Support recruitment, orientation, and ongoing professional development of AQ OTs and professional practice supervisors.
• Lead professional development of individual OTs and promote evidence-based practice in line with AQ standards.
• Facilitate professional networking among AQ occupational therapists.
• Provide recommendations on professional development needs and on events.
• Collaborate with managers hosting student clinical placements and contribute to pre-service education.
