The University of Queensland invites applications for the role of Principal Specialty Supervisor at Greater Brisbane Clinical School. This part-time 0.2FTE, fixed-term position runs until October 2028 and is based at the Royal Brisbane & Women’s Hospital in Herston.

You will provide specialty-specific educational leadership across the MD program, shaping clinical learning experiences, mentoring junior staff, and collaborating with the Mayne Academy and MD Curriculum & Assessment teams to advance

Qualifications

• Medical qualification with eligibility for registration as a medical practitioner in Australia.
• PhD or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
• Demonstrated excellence in clinical teaching, with evidence of contributions to medical education.
• Established expertise in your specialty with educational leadership and innovation.
• Strong scholarly activity with publications and research engagement.
• Proven ability to mentor and supervise students and trainees.

Responsabilités

• Teach with specialty-specific leadership across the MD program and assess learning outcomes.
• Mentor and supervise students, residents and researchers, providing feedback.
• Lead research and educational improvement projects within clinical learning environments.
• Collaborate with hospital colleagues, Mayne Academy, and curriculum teams to enhance teaching and assessment.
