Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in supervision within heavy industrial environments, with hands‑on knowledge of pumps, motors, conveyors, hydraulics, and asset management. Travel to project sites as required is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years supervisory experience in mechanical, heavy industrial environments (mining/resources or major projects).
• Strong knowledge of pumps, motors, conveyors, hydraulics and related assets.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on supervision and strategic leadership to a team of skilled mechanics, ensuring safety and quality benchmarks are met.
• Oversee day-to-day operations of mechanical works, driving efficiency and precision across project phases.
• Conduct proactive inspections and diagnostics to minimise downtime and maximise asset reliability.
• Develop and refine preventative maintenance schedules for peak performance.
• Champion safety, compliance and continuous improvement across activities.
• Mentor and upskill mechanics to build workforce capability.
• Maintain compliant records for maintenance, repairs, inventory and statutory requirements.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with project management and procurement for seamless delivery.
• Identify and optimise procurement of mechanical parts and services for cost efficiency.
• Initiate process improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and asset longevity.
• Promote adherence to HSE policies and zero-harm culture.
