Job summary

Ausenco in Adelaide is seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer to join our growing APAC Africa business. You will lead multi-disciplinary design delivery, guide technical solutions and manage work packages to meet budgets and timelines.

The role requires a Mechanical Engineering degree with CPEng accreditation, 10+ years in EPCM, and experience with mineral processing plants. Strong leadership and client liaison skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering and CPEng accreditation.
• 10+ years in an EPCM environment.
• Experience in mineral processing plants is highly advantageous.
• Strong written and verbal communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Be a key contributor to the delivery of multi-disciplinary engineering designs and feasibility studies.
• Deliver technical solutions in accordance with project scope, timeframes and best practice standards.
• Prepare technical reports related to design issues.
• Develop understanding of project requirements regarding scope, cost and schedule.
• Develop the mechanical work plan for inclusion into the project execution plan.
• Manage and review Engineering Work Packages to ensure budgets and schedules are met.
• Review and approve mechanical deliverables (specifications, datasheets, drawings).
• Assist in developing project procedures.
• Ensure use of approved design tools, codes and standards.
