Job summary

Blackbook Executive is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead a team of trades on a growing food manufacturing site in Young, NSW. You’ll coordinate maintenance activities, improve plant reliability and support production targets with proactive planning and hands-on leadership.

Working with the Maintenance Manager, you’ll drive safety, mentor staff, manage rosters, and partner with production to optimise performance.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience leading maintenance teams within manufacturing environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.
• Experience with maintenance planning, scheduling and workforce coordination.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Hands-on leadership style with the ability to lead from the front.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop a team of maintenance tradespeople.
• Assist with recruitment, onboarding and workforce planning.
• Coordinate maintenance rosters and labour allocation.
• Drive a positive culture focused on safety, accountability and teamwork.
• Support performance management and ongoing employee development.
• Coordinate daily maintenance activities to minimise downtime.
• Support preventative and predictive maintenance programs.
• Respond to breakdowns and drive timely fault resolution.
• Conduct inspections and ensure equipment reliability.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and plant optimisation.
• Work closely with production teams to maximise operational performance.
• Champion a strong safety culture across the maintenance function.
• Ensure compliance with WHS policies and site procedures.
• Participate in risk assessments, investigations and corrective actions.
• Monitor contractor compliance and safe work practices.
