Job summary

Guzman y Gomez Mexican Kitchen on the Sunshine Coast is seeking a Head Cook to lead and develop our busy kitchen team while supporting the Restaurant Manager in tracking costs and labor. You will train staff, uphold food safety standards, and help deliver authentic Mexican meals with energy and consistency.

Qualifications

• Experience in a kitchen / cooking role within a busy hospitality environment.
• Experience leading and developing a kitchen team.
• Ability to understand, interpret and explain key kitchen financial performance indicators including cost of goods, stock variances and wastage.
• Certificate in commercial cookery or equivalent experience.
• Solid understanding of food safety procedures.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
