Job summary

Opal Australian Paper seeks a Quality and Compliance Manager to safeguard ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, and FSC Chain of Custody across the Maryvale site. You will lead internal audits, maintain compliance evidence, and ensure ongoing audit-readiness for certification bodies.

Based at Maryvale, this site-based role focuses on driving corrective actions, mapping requirements to daily operations, and reporting risk and performance to site leadership. Strong cross-functional collaboration is essential.

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in ISO management systems (9001/14001/45001) and FSC certification in manufacturing
• Lead Auditor qualifications with hands-on internal audit program leadership
• Auditing for ongoing compliance, mapping frameworks to operations, closing audit gaps
• Strong problem-solving with CAPA initiation and verification
• Exceptional cross-functional communication to embed compliance culture

Responsibilities

• Ensure ongoing ISO and FSC compliance across site processes and documentation
• Lead external certification audits and maintain site readiness for audits
• Own and monitor a comprehensive internal audit schedule across all departments
• Maintain detailed records and evidence mapping for all ISO and FSC requirements
• Perform root-cause analysis on non-conformances and drive corrective actions
• Provide independent reporting on audit findings, compliance status, and risk to site leadership
