Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service has opened a state-of-the-art Adult Inpatient Mental Health Service at Rockhampton Hospital, a 32-bed facility with high and low dependency units, therapy spaces, and staff wellbeing features.

The Registered Nurse role supports multidisciplinary teams, delivers evidence-based care, and mentors nursing staff, contributing to safety, quality and patient wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with NMBA registration through AHPRA.
• Commitment to quality, safety and patient care.
• Understand clinical standards and risk frameworks; use data to improve care.
• Able to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Lead high-quality clinical care for adults with complex needs.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams across inpatient and community settings.
• Provide shift coordination, mentoring, and support for staff and students.
• Champion innovation, manage risks and support positive change.
