Job summary

Enertia Talent is seeking a Substation Design Lead for a leading energy infrastructure organisation delivering HV projects across Australia. You will provide technical leadership across HV substation design and project delivery, liaising with internal teams and external consultants to drive quality and timelines.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years of HV design experience, hands-on leadership of design teams, and a strong grasp of industry standards.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of engineering experience with HV substation exposure.
• EHV substation design experience at 110kV+.
• Strong understanding of substation standards and specs.
• Experience leading design teams and external consultants.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management across technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design delivery of HV substation projects from early design through construction.
• Provide technical leadership to internal and external design teams and manage consultants.
• Review and challenge designs, drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with project managers, construction teams and clients to resolve issues.
• Support construction and commissioning while managing design programme and risk.
