Job summary

Silk Hospitality in Melbourne seeks a Housekeeping Supervisor to lead daily housekeeping operations and ensure top cleanliness and presentation for guests.

You’ll oversee and train the housekeeping team, coordinate tasks, and maintain high standards while collaborating with other departments to deliver exceptional guest experiences. Immediate start, permanent part-time role with 30 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in housekeeping or a supervisory role.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping activities
• Lead, train, and support team members
• Ensure efficient cleaning of rooms and public areas
• Conduct daily inspections to maintain quality standards
• Communicate effectively with other departments
• Respond promptly to guest inquiries
• Ensure all Workplace Health & Safety procedures are followed
• Prepare operational reports and maintain accurate records
• Manage incoming calls and ensure messages are logged and actioned
• Allocate tasks and uphold hotel brand standards
• Escalate operational concerns to the leadership team
