Job summary

HR Partners in Melbourne is seeking a senior network engineer to oversee governance, design, and strategic evolution of the HFC platform. The role focuses on evaluating new technologies, leading investigations, and applying data analytics to improve network reliability and capacity.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors, ensuring build standards and regulatory compliance are met while driving performance improvements and delivering complex projects.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of network design and configuration experience.
• 5+ years of network delivery experience, incl. 2+ years in testing-related functions.
• Deep domain expertise across HFC, RF, DOCSIS, optical transmission, power, and civil infrastructure.
• Experience using SQL and advanced data analytics for root cause analysis.
• Proven governance, standards, and regulatory knowledge in telecoms.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical governance for the HFC network platform.
• Drive engineering leadership and strategic evolution initiatives.
• Oversee pipeline management and portfolio prioritization.
• Partner with equipment vendors to design tailored network or software solutions.
• Author technical documentation and maintain build standards.
