Job summary

EV Consulting Global in Australia is seeking a skilled Leading Hand to join our high-rise residential projects. You will lead on-site teams, coordinate trades, and work closely with the Site Supervisor to keep daily work safe, organised, and on schedule.

The ideal candidate is trade-qualified, has 5–10 years of construction experience on high-rise sites, and can read drawings, manage quality, and communicate effectively with subcontractors and the site team.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of construction experience on high-rise projects.
• Strong experience in structure and/or finishing works.
• Trade qualification or relevant construction trade background preferred.
• Previous leading hand or site leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support workers and trades on daily site activities.
• Carry out hands-on construction work while guiding the site team.
• Coordinate work areas and ensure tasks are completed in the right sequence.
• Read and follow construction drawings, plans, and specifications.
• Support structure and finishing works on high-rise residential projects.
• Check the quality of work and ensure it meets project standards.
• Help keep work on schedule and report any delays or site issues.
• Maintain safe work practices and ensure site safety rules are followed.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and other trades as required.
• Identify and resolve day-to-day site issues with the Site Supervisor.
• Keep work areas clean, organised, and ready for the next stage.
• Report daily progress and any site concerns to the Site Supervisor.
