Job summary

Whitsunday Regional Council in Collinsville seeks a motivated Works Leading Hand / Grader Operator to supervise a small crew and operate a grader on road construction and maintenance projects across the region. The role involves mentoring staff, coordinating daily works, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance, and willing to work on-site and remote camp environments.

Key tasks include accurate site record capture, daily coordination with the Works Coordinator, and on-call responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Must have Civil Construction related qualifications and competencies.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise a small team of workers.
• Capture site records and report to Works Coordinator.
• Implement traffic management requirements.
• Ensure on-site works comply with regulations.
• Attend on-call duties and respond to emergencies.
• Operate grader and related plant as required.
