Job summary

NES Fircroft is seeking an experienced Specialist Geologist to lead drilling and field programs for a major exploration and resource development project. You will deliver high-quality geological outcomes, support resource growth and drive project advancement while maintaining technical excellence.

The role involves managing data collection and QA/QC, contributing to geological modelling and exploration targeting, and coordinating field activities with drilling contractors and service providers.

Qualifications

• Degree in Geology, Earth Sciences or related discipline is required.
• Experience in exploration, resource development or mine geology is essential.
• Proven ability to plan and execute drill programs and field campaigns.
• Strong logging, sampling and data management skills are required.
• Experience with geological modelling and GIS/databases is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and oversee drilling programs to support exploration and resource objectives.
• Manage geological data collection, interpretation and QA/QC processes.
• Contribute to geological modelling, exploration targeting and resource evaluation.
• Coordinate field activities and manage drilling contractors and service providers.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver project outcomes.
• Provide technical mentoring and support continuous improvement initiatives.
