Job summary

Intrax Consulting Engineers is seeking an experienced Associate or Principal Structural Engineer to join our Melbourne team and lead the growth of our Victorian Forensic & Remedial offering. You will manage complex investigations, mentor engineers, and contribute to strategic expansion across the region.

You will build client relationships, win work, and provide technical leadership while collaborating with senior leaders in a national practice.

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years’ experience within forensic or remedial engineering.
• Strong forensic investigation and technical report writing capability across assets.
• Structural design experience including remedial and strengthening solutions.
• Experience with insurers, legal professionals, builders, developers or asset owners.
• Exposure to tenders, proposals and business development activities.
• Solid understanding of the National Construction Code and Australian Standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex forensic investigations and remedial projects across residential, commercial and industrial structures.
• Conduct site inspections and investigations across VIC metropolitan and regional areas.
• Prepare high-quality technical reports identifying causes of failure and remediation needs.
• Develop remedial repair methodologies and documentation for damaged structures.
• Build relationships with insurers, legal professionals, asset owners, and stakeholders.
• Support business development, tenders, proposals, and capability presentations.
