Job summary

KBR is seeking a Senior Fire Protection Engineer to join our Building Services team in Sydney. You will lead the design and delivery of complex fire protection systems across major projects, providing technical leadership and QA for designs, calculations and documentation.

You will mentor junior engineers, manage client relationships, and contribute to the growth of KBR's Fire Protection capability across Australia, including defence projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in engineering (Mechanical or related) and Chartered Professional Engineer status or actively working towards chartership.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of complex fire protection systems across major projects.
• Provide technical leadership and quality assurance for fire services designs, calculations and documentation.
• Review and approve engineering deliverables produced by other team members.
• Act as a key client interface and trusted technical advisor.
• Support bid preparation and project planning activities.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers and designers within the Fire Protection team.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement in fire protection engineering practices.
• Ensure all project outcomes meet safety, regulatory and commercial requirements.
