Job summary

The Baw Baw Shire Council is seeking a Coordinator Environment to lead the Environment and Sustainability team, delivering strategic programs and climate change responses while guiding budget oversight and governance. You will liaise with community, industry and government partners to achieve measurable environmental outcomes.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in environmental science, ecology, sustainability, natural resource management or related field.
• Strong experience leading teams and delivering environmental or sustainability programs.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, project management and communication skills.
• Knowledge of environmental legislation, policy and contemporary practice.
• Experience with strategic planning, budgeting, reporting and governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Environment and Sustainability team to deliver strategic programs and climate responses.
• Provide specialist advice across Council and manage budgets and contracts.
• Build partnerships with community, industry and government stakeholders.
