The Opportunity

We are currently seeking an experienced Lead Engineer – Liner Development, to join our Crushing Solutions division, based at our new Wattleup facility. This full-time, permanent role will be responsible for managing all Liner Development projects within the Engineering team and provide expert support for all Liner Development queries.

This position would suit a candidate who can guide and mentor team members and maintain excellent working relationships with both customers and colleagues at all levels across the business.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Reporting to the Engineering & Development Manager, your main responsibilities will include:
  • Oversee the design/customization of crusher liners to provide crushing solutions and improvements to our key customers.
  • Oversee the accuracy and quality of drawings related to Liner Development.
  • Provide technical advice, reports, presentations and proposal documents on Crusher Liners and Liner Development offerings.
  • Review inspections on castings and/or parts received from suppliers, and review and approve inspection reports on variations.
  • Work closely with other departments, including Supply Chain, to source competitive pricing and availability of parts.
  • Implement and maintain an IP development plan that is aligned to the Company’s vision, values and strategic direction.
About You
  • To be considered for this position you will ideally have:
  • Tertiary or equivalent trade qualification in a technical discipline.
  • Extensive experience as a Senior Engineer or equivalent.
  • Experience in a service/manufacturing need-to-order manufacturing environment, preferably with mineral processing equipment.
  • Experience with engineering software such as Autodesk Inventor, Polyworks and Nastran.
  • Ability to read, understand and develop complex engineering drawings, and to present proposals to senior decision makers.
