Job summary

Trentham Electrical and Solar in Trentham VIC is seeking a Leading Hand Electrician to take ownership of field operations across solar, battery, refrigeration and HVAC systems. You will lead the crew on site, manage installations and service calls, and troubleshoot faults that others cannot find.

The role requires a Grade A Electrical Licence (VIC), strong fault finding and diagnostic skills, and proven leadership or readiness to step up.

Qualifications

• Leads field team and runs residential and light commercial jobs from start to finish.
• Demonstrated fault finding and diagnostic capabilities across electrical, solar, battery, refrigeration and HVAC systems.
• Proven leadership experience or readiness to step up into leadership roles.
• Current driver's licence and a strong focus on safety and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the field team day to day, allocating work and keeping jobs on track.
• Run residential and light commercial jobs independently from start to finish.
• Fault finding and diagnostics across electrical, solar, battery, refrigeration and HVAC systems.
• Supervise and mentor apprentices and electricians on site.
• Ensure compliance with AS/NZS 3000 and related standards for your stream.
• Maintain high workmanship, safety and documentation standards.
• Be a point of contact for customers on site.
