Job summary

Espec Australia Pty is seeking an Electrical Tradesperson in the Northern Territory to support construction, commissioning, operation and maintenance of overhead and distribution systems. You will work under supervision, ensuring work complies with license requirements and safety standards.

The role emphasizes mentoring apprentices, leading on-site safety, and coordinating with the Kolsen group environment while contributing to quality management and environmental practices.

Qualifications

• Experience in heavy industrial electrical construction, including HV equipment and substations.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and schematic drawings.
• Experience with distribution systems, switchboards, and control wiring.
• Familiarity with copper busbar power distribution systems.
• Strong understanding of power industry and heavy industrial environments.
• Demonstrated leadership and mentoring capabilities.
• Commitment to promoting and maintaining a strong safety culture.

Responsibilities

• Safety, health and environment on site, complying with policies.
• Supervise, coach and mentor apprentices; maintain communication on site.
• Lead and promote integrated management systems for Quality, Safety, Health and Environment.
• Ensure electrical work is performed by licensed personnel appropriate to the work.
• Identify hazards, advise on safety procedures and monitor practices.
• Support QHSE objectives and report issues to management.
