Job summary

White Light Electrical in Queensland is hiring for a residential/commercial electrical role on large development projects. You will install site switchboards, conduits, cabling, street lights and NBN equipment, coordinating trenching with crews and liaising with site supervisors to stay ahead of the program.

The ideal candidate holds a Queensland Electrical Mechanic License, Civil/subdivision or street lighting experience, and a Construction White Card.

Qualifications

Queensland Electrical Mechanic License is required.
Civil, subdivision, private network or street lighting experience preferred or willingness to move into it.
Construction White Card required.
Ability to run your own patch without supervision.

Responsibilities

Installation of site switchboards, pillars, conduits, cabling, street lights and NBN equipment.
Organizing and coordinating trenching, scheduling machinery and crews to keep civil works ahead of electrical.
Liaising daily with site supervisors, builders and other trades to keep works sequenced and on program.
Working with engineers and technical advisers on private HV network and battery system installations.
Reading and working from civil and electrical drawings, flagging issues early.
Keeping site paperwork, pre starts and job records up to date.
Taking ownership of site quality, safety and presentation.
