Nordex Oceania is seeking a senior electrical engineer to design and optimise HV/MV electrical systems, substations and grid connections for wind and renewable projects across Australia and New Zealand.

You will lead design across project phases, perform power system studies, and develop documentation, drawings and specifications, collaborating with sales, project and grid specialists while upholding safety and quality.

Competenze

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required.
5+ years of electrical engineering experience in renewable energy or utility-scale projects.
Proficiency in DIgSILENT, AutoCAD, and MS Office.

Mansioni

Lead electrical engineering tasks across all project phases, from design to operation.
Design primary electrical plant (HV switchgear, transformers, HV cables) and secondary systems (CTs, VTs, protection, metering).
Undertake protection studies, load flow and fault studies using power systems software.
Prepare documentation: scopes of work, tender packages, equipment specs, data sheets and instrumentation setting sheets.
Develop and modify electrical drawings: single line diagrams, layouts, cable sizing, losses and grid studies.
Compile design calculations for earthing, protection systems and cable sizing.
Support clients and project teams during sales, installation and commissioning with technical solutions.
Apply value engineering to deliver cost-effective, high-quality outcomes.
