Job summary

Fyfe is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to lead the Secondary & Protection team within Middleton Group's power division. You will drive high-voltage substation design, BESS and solar projects, mentoring engineers and delivering technically innovative solutions for utilities, renewables and transport sectors.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) and Chartered Engineer status required.
12+ years in high-voltage engineering, ideally with water and transport projects.
Proven HV substation secondary and protection design experience and solar/BESS knowledge.
Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage stakeholders.
Collaborative, growth-minded and people-focused culture advocate.

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership on secondary and protection for HV substation, BESS and solar design.
Lead multiple packages from concept to completion within budget, quality and safety targets.
Mentor and develop junior engineers and stay current with industry trends.
Contribute to proposals, client engagement, and market strategy.
Uphold engineering standards and champion sustainable design.
