Job summary

WSP is seeking an Electrical Engineering leader in Perth to drive delivery on sustaining capital and brownfield mining projects. The role combines technical leadership, project delivery and client engagement within a multidisciplinary team across mining lifecycle.

You will mentor engineers, manage scope and budgets, and develop designs and documentation for power systems, substations and mine infrastructure. A strong client-facing ability and cross-discipline collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering.
• Extensive experience delivering electrical engineering projects within the mining and resource industry.
• Proven capability leading engineering teams and coordinating multidisciplinary project delivery.
• Strong understanding of power distribution, substations, motor control systems and mining infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical engineering delivery on sustaining capital and brownfield mining projects.
• Provide technical direction, oversight and mentorship to engineers and designers.
• Manage project scope, budgets, schedules and quality outcomes.
• Develop and review electrical engineering designs, calculations and technical documentation.
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams across mining, mechanical, structural, civil and process disciplines.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor.
• Support proposals, project planning and business development activities.
• Contribute to larger study and execution projects as opportunities arise.

About you:
