Job summary

St Cecilia's Long Day Care & Kindy in Hamilton, Queensland, is seeking a passionate Lead Educator to guide our Junior Kindy room in delivering rich, play-based experiences aligned with EYLF. This permanent full-time role offers supportive leadership and a warm, heritage-listed centre for up to 49 children.

You will mentor fellow educators, plan and reflect on the program, strengthen relationships with families and the local community, and contribute to ongoing professional development within

Qualifications

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or ACECQA approved equivalent.
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis certifications (or willingness to obtain).
• Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check) in place.
• Strong knowledge of EYLF and National Quality Standard.
• Leadership and mentorship experience in a lead educator role.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver a high-quality, inclusive, play-based educational program in the Junior Kindy room, aligned with the EYLF.
• Support children's learning, development, and wellbeing in a safe and nurturing environment.
• Guide and mentor fellow educators within your room, fostering a positive and collaborative team culture.
• Utilise programming time to plan, document, and reflect on the educational program.
• Build strong, trusting relationships with children, families, and the local community.
• Promote the service within the local community in line with CEEC's values and educational philosophy.
• Participate actively in ongoing professional and personal development.
