Job summary

Carine Senior High School in the northern suburbs of Perth is seeking to establish a pool of Lead Education Assistants for permanent and fixed-term vacancies during the 2027 school year. The role involves supporting teachers in inclusive settings and assisting students with complex physical, communication and personal care needs.

Successful applicants will join a large Education Assistants team, working under a Learning Support and Inclusion Manager.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting students with physical disability or complex needs.
• Willingness to provide personal care and physical assistance.
• Ability to work within a large team under a Learning Support and Inclusion Manager.
• Team-oriented approach in a busy secondary school environment.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers in delivering planned education programs in inclusive settings.
• Assist with student communication, learning, participation and independence throughout the day.
• Provide personal care and physical assistance when required (as trained).
• Work collaboratively with a large team of Education Assistants.
