Job summary

Garfield Childcare is seeking an experienced Early Childhood Teacher and Educational Leader to join our Wentworthville centre in a full-time Educational Leader role. You will lead a room, mentor staff, and deliver high-quality learning programs aligned with EYLF and NQS.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education (or ACECQA verified) and a minimum of 1 year in a leadership capacity. You will work in a supportive, collaborative team with a focus on professional growth and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or ACECQA verified equivalent.
• Demonstrated leadership experience or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of EYLF, NQS, and compliance requirements.
• Excellent written, verbal communication and organisational skills.
• Minimum 1 year experience working as an ECT/Educational Leader

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a room in accordance with the EYLF and NQS.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate meaningful and engaging educational programs with child’s interests.
• Mentor and support educators, fostering a positive and collaborative team culture.
• Build strong, respectful relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
• Support children with additional needs and engage with pre-primary programs.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and centre policies.
• Ability to handle assessment and rating.
