Job summary

Burnett House Early Learning & Kindergarten in Sadliers Crossing, Ipswich, Australia, is seeking an Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) to lead educational programs and mentor educators across a 95-child service. You will design a stimulating, play-based curriculum, ensuring emotional and social development for children, and fostering strong partnerships with families and the community.

The role requires ACECQA-approved qualifications, EYLF/NQS expertise, and a proactive leadership approach.

Qualifications

• ACECQA-approved Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (or equivalent).
• Strong understanding of EYLF and NQS and child-centred, play-based pedagogy.
• Confident in mentoring others, driving high-quality practice, and leading a team.
• National Safety training and child safety compliance requirements.
• Current Blue Card, First Aid, CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis certificates.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and evaluate an approved Kindergarten program aligned with EYLF and NQS.
• Create a warm, predictable environment supporting emotional security and curiosity.
• Build relationships with children, families and the local community.
• Mentor room educators to deliver high-quality early childhood practices.
• Maintain high compliance with NQS and centre policies.
• Lead transitions, routines and positive behaviour guidance with empathy.
