Job summary

Select Logistics & Transport, part of the Linde family, seeks an experienced Driver Trainer/Supervisor to lead a small driver team, deliver practical training, and conduct competency assessments for bulk tanker and cylinder operations. You will mentor drivers to improve safe driving practices and support DG awareness and compliance.

You will perform in-cab observations, route assessments, and safety audits, delivering toolbox talks and contributing to safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience in supervising drivers
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is preferred
• Bulk DG Knowledge is desirable
• Outlook 365, Excel and Word experience are useful
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122) or equivalent; MC Licence current
• Dangerous Goods experience across LPG and/or cryogenic tankers
• Minimum five (5) years heavy vehicle driving experience
• Experience delivering driver training and competency assessments
• Knowledge of Heavy Vehicle National Law, Chain of Responsibility, fatigue management and Dangerous Goods requirements
• Strong understanding of defensive driving and safe vehicle operations

Responsibilities

• Supervise a small, highly experienced team of drivers
• Deliver practical training for new and existing drivers across Select & Elgas
• Conduct competency assessments across bulk tanker and cylinder operations
• Coach drivers to strengthen capability and safe driving practices
• Conduct in-cab observations, route assessments and field safety audits
• Deliver Dangerous Goods awareness and defensive driving training
• Support driver competency reassessments and ongoing development
• Undertake toolbox talks and safety briefings
• Support transport safety, compliance and continuous improvement initiatives
• Maintain driver inductions across customer portals
