Job summary

Select L&T Pty Ltd, part of the Linde family, is seeking an experienced Driver Trainer in NSW to coach drivers, conduct assessments, and deliver practical and classroom training. You will work with dangerous goods transport and heavy vehicles to improve safety practices across operations.

The role combines hands-on field coaching with formal training and assessment, requiring current MC and DG licences and a minimum of five years’ heavy-vehicle driving experience.

Qualifications

• Must have Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122) or equivalent.
• Minimum five years of heavy vehicle driving experience.
• Current Dangerous Goods Driver Licence and MC Licence.

Responsibilities

• Deliver practical and classroom-based driver training for new and existing drivers.
• Conduct competency assessments across bulk tanker, cylinder and ISO operations.
• Coach and mentor drivers to strengthen capability and safe driving practices.
• Conduct in-cab observations, route assessments and field safety audits.
• Deliver Dangerous Goods awareness, defensive driving and vehicle risk management training.
• Support driver competency reassessments and ongoing development.
• Review driver performance and provide practical coaching after incidents or non-conformances.
• Contribute to training materials, competency assessments, SOPs and toolbox talks.
• Support transport safety, compliance and continuous improvement initiatives.
