Job summary

Redpath Mining Inc. is seeking a Fitter Leading Hand for the Northparkes E22 Project in NSW. The role involves coordinating underground maintenance, leading a team, and ensuring safe, high-standard servicing of Sandvik underground equipment. FIFO/DIDO 14/14 roster options apply.

You will manage faults, mentor apprentices, and contribute to continuous improvement while upholding Redpath's safety culture on a major gold mining project.

Qualifications

• Australian recognised Trade Qualification as a Diesel Fitter or equivalent.
• Experience as Leading Hand or supervisory role in underground mining.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills on heavy mobile plant.
• Understanding of underground mining operations and safety.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a maintenance team of underground personnel.
• Perform scheduled and breakdown maintenance on Sandvik underground equipment.
• Diagnose and rectify mechanical, hydraulic, and auto electrical faults.
• Coordinate daily maintenance activities to minimise equipment downtime.
• Ensure all maintenance work is completed safely and to a high standard.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to tradespeople and apprentices.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the maintenance department.
• Promote and maintain Redpath's strong safety culture.
