Job summary

Queensland Government is seeking an experienced dental services lead within the School Dental Service. You will supervise Dental Assistants, provide advanced chairside support and coordinate operations across fixed clinics and mobile vans.

A strong emphasis on infection control and quality assurance will ensure safe, patient‑focussed care. The role blends hands-on clinical duties (40–50%) with workforce leadership and service improvement, offering development opportunities within Metro North

Qualifications

• Provide high-level chairside assistance and clinical support across a broad range of oral health procedures and patient care activities.
• Lead, supervise and support Dental Assistants through workforce management, performance development, training and mentoring initiatives.
• Coordinate the operation of fixed clinics and dental vans, including maintenance, equipment management, stock control and service support activities.
• Monitor infection control, sterilisation, radiography and quality assurance processes to ensure compliance with relevant standards and best practice requirements.

• Work collaboratively with clinicians, managers and stakeholders to support service delivery and operational objectives.
• Support service development, workforce capability and achievement of operational goals.
