Job summary
Queensland Government is seeking a Principal Data Modeller in Brisbane. You will oversee the data platform, monitor pipelines, and resolve failures while coordinating with stakeholders.
You will source data, design ETL pipelines, and enhance data quality and the target model for reporting. You will document architecture, integrations and production changes with support from a constructive leadership team.
Qualifications
- Strong leadership and communication skills (verbal and written).
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in large scale projects related to data warehouse, data lake, Lakehouse, or analytical applications.
- Understanding and working knowledge of SQL, agile processes, data modelling, data engineering, ELT development with Databricks and SAP technologies.
- Experience delivering technical solutions following Medallion Architecture and Layered Scalable Architecture (LSA++).
- Experience with Azure Data Storage, Azure Synapse, Databricks, DevOps, SAP HANA (XSA and XSC) is desirable.

- Source new data, build ETL pipelines, improve data quality, expand target data models and reporting.
