Job summary

Talent Insights Group is partnering with a large Insurance business to hire an experienced Lead Data Analyst for complex ICT and digital delivery programs. You’ll lead data discovery across internal and external datasets and translate business needs into implementation-ready data specifications that engineers can build from.

The role requires hands-on SQL, plus Python and notebooks, and experience with data contracts, data lineage and end-to-end lifecycle activities.

Qualifications

• Extensive data discovery, profiling and analysis experience.
• Strong hands-on SQL and data analytics tools (e.g. Python, notebooks).
• Proven experience producing source-to-target mappings, data contracts and business rules.
• End-to-end data lifecycle experience: migration, initial and incremental loads, validation and reconciliation.
• Clear communicator who can work with business stakeholders, engineers, architects and testers.
• Government or regulated-sector experience highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Lead data discovery and profiling across datasets.
• Develop source-to-target mappings, data dictionaries, data contracts and transformation rules.
• Use SQL to investigate data quality issues and define cleansing, de-duplication and reconciliation approaches.
• Partner with data engineers on ingestion, integration and migration.
• Validate loads, reconcile source and target data, and support defect resolution.
• Communicate data risks and recommendations to delivery teams and senior stakeholders.
