Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking multiple highly skilled Cyber Security Risk Assessors to join a fast-paced ICT Cyber Security team supporting government programs across Australia.

You will assess security risks across Azure Cloud, legacy systems, and AI-enabled environments, produce risk documentation, and advise on controls in line with PSPF/ISM/Essential Eight.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years' experience conducting cyber security risk assessments within Australian Government environments.
• Experience assessing Azure Cloud, legacy ICT, AI technologies, and complex enterprise environments.
• Strong knowledge of PSPF, ISM, and Essential Eight frameworks.
• Experience providing security guidance on design of solutions, applications and systems.
• Ability to engage effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of networking infrastructure and related security considerations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct security risk assessments for ICT systems and applications.
• Review and maintain security documentation including SSPs and SSP-As.
• Provide security advice aligned with PSPF, ISM and Essential Eight.
• Assess risks for Azure Cloud, AI technologies, and legacy environments.
• Collaborate with teams to identify and mitigate cyber security risks.
• Present findings and risk positions to senior stakeholders.
• Support implementation of security controls to meet Australian Government standards.

WE PAY WEEKLY

We are seeking multiple highly skilled Cyber Security Risk Assessors to join a high-performing and fast-paced ICT Cyber Security team supporting critical government programs and services.

Working within a complex technology environment, you will play a key role in assessing security risks across cloud, legacy, AI-enabled, and enterprise ICT systems. You will provide expert cyber security advice, contribute to security accreditation activities, and support the development of essential security documentation in alignment with Australian Government security frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct security risk assessments for ICT systems and applications.
• Review, develop, and maintain security documentation, including:
  • System Security Plans (SSPs)
  • System Security Plan Annexes (SSP-As)
  • Risk assessments and supporting security artefacts
• Provide security advice and recommendations aligned with:
  • Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF)
  • Information Security Manual (ISM)
  • Essential Eight
• Assess security risks associated with Azure Cloud, AI technologies, legacy environments, and complex enterprise systems.
• Work closely with technical teams, project stakeholders, and business representatives to identify and mitigate cyber security risks.
• Assist in strengthening the organisation's overall security posture through proactive risk identification and practical security guidance.
• Present security findings, recommendations, and risk positions to senior stakeholders and executive audiences.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security controls and ensure compliance with Australian Government standards.

Essential Experience

• 3-5 years' experience conducting cyber security risk assessments within Australian Government environments.
• Demonstrated experience performing security assessments across:
  • Azure Cloud platforms
  • Legacy ICT systems
  • AI technologies
  • Complex enterprise environments
• Strong knowledge of the PSPF, ISM, and Essential Eight frameworks.
• Experience providing security guidance on solution, application, and system designs.
• Ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of networking infrastructure and associated security considerations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare and deliver executive-level briefings.

Desired Experience

• Understanding of Operational Technology (OT) environments and associated cyber security risks.
