City of Melbourne is seeking a Senior Curator to lead the City of Melbourne Collection, including the City Gallery and Collection Store. You will drive curatorial vision, exhibitions and public programs, shaping Melbourne's cultural narrative and community connections.

The role offers strategic leadership, team development and collaboration with Traditional Owners, artists and cultural partners to celebrate Melbourne's heritage and contemporary arts landscape.

Formación

• Tertiary qualifications in Museum Studies, Curatorial Practice, Collection Management, Arts Management, Cultural Heritage, History.
• Extensive professional experience leading significant art, heritage or cultural collections.
• Strong curatorial expertise in exhibitions, public programs and research.
• Proven experience leading teams and managing stakeholder relationships.

Responsabilidades

• Lead strategic development, acquisition, preservation and management of the City of Melbourne Collection.
• Oversee exhibitions, research projects and public programs that engage diverse audiences.
• Provide leadership for City Gallery and collection operations, including budgets and risk management.
• Develop partnerships with Traditional Owners, artists and cultural institutions.
