Job summary

IT Alliance Australia is seeking a Lead Cryptography Security Engineer for a Federal Government client in Canberra. The role focuses on cryptographic design, implementation and support in complex environments.

The ideal candidate will identify and remediate cryptographic weaknesses, have experience with regulated environments such as defence or national security, and be proficient in quantum-resistant cryptography assessments and security accreditation activities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in cryptography design and engineering for enterprise or classified environments.
• Strong ability to identify cryptographic weaknesses and remediate vulnerabilities.
• Experience in regulated government or defence sectors is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of quantum-resistant cryptography and related transition planning.
• Experience supporting accreditation and assurance processes.

Responsibilities

• Designing, implementing and supporting cryptographic solutions within complex enterprise or classified environments.
• Identification and remediation of cryptographic vulnerabilities and weaknesses.
• Experience supporting Commonwealth, Defence, National Security or similarly regulated environments.
• Experience with quantum-resistant cryptography assessments, transition planning or emerging cryptographic standards.
• Experience contributing to secure system accreditation, certification or assurance activities.
