Job summary

ARTC is seeking a Lead Cost Controller to oversee cost management, forecasting, governance and reporting across its Infrastructure Projects portfolio. You will lead a small team of Cost Controllers, drive best-practice cost management, and collaborate with Project Managers, Finance and senior stakeholders to support successful rail project delivery.

You will play a key role in identifying risks and opportunities, improving forecast accuracy, and delivering trusted insights to enable informed

Qualifications

• Experience in cost control, project controls or project services within major infrastructure environments.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, cashflow management and financial governance knowledge.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to challenge assumptions and mitigate risks.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills to influence decisions at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop Cost Controllers to build capability and drive cost management standards.
• Establish cost management governance frameworks and reporting practices for portfolio oversight.
• Oversee budgets, forecasts, cashflows and contingencies to support informed decision-making.
• Review cost reports, forecasts and variances to identify risks and opportunities.
• Provide cost management advice to Project Managers and senior stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Finance and Project Accounting to ensure accurate reporting and governance.
• Monitor contractor costs, claims and variations to manage forecast risk and exposures.
• Lead cost review meetings and performance reviews for portfolio accountability.
• Provide portfolio-level cost insights and reporting to senior leaders and governance forums.
