Job summary

Perdaman Global Services is seeking an experienced Electrical/Control Systems Engineer to design the control philosophy for complex plant assets and lead front-end projects. You will work across greenfield and brownfield initiatives, delivering automation scope and robust control architectures.

The role requires strong technical leadership, mentoring capabilities, and hands-on experience with Rockwell, Siemens, Yokogawa, and SCADA tools. Perth-based work with major mining and utilities projects.

Qualifications

• Relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification
• Experience in electrical/control systems in mining, utilities, or energy sectors
• Experience with Rockwell, Emerson (GE), Schneider and DCS (Yokogawa)
• Experience on PLCs (Rockwell, Siemens) and SCADA systems (SciTech, CITECT, Simplicity)

Responsibilities

• Develop and design Control System philosophy and architecture for complex plant assets.
• Collaborate with front-end greenfield and brownfield projects on controls and automation scope.
• Lead and mentor junior/mid-tier engineers and manage design teams.

Role & responsibilities

Have a solid understanding of technical (E, I&C) principals and solid experience in developing and designing the Control System philosophy and systems that drive complex industrial plant & assets that our clients own and operate.

• Relevant engineering degree or equivalent / relevant qualification
• Experience on working in a specialized electrical / control systems team on front end greenfield and brownfield development projects with complex controls and automation scope
• Control systems design experience, ideally with exposure to Rockwell, Emmerson (GE) and Schneider
• Distributed control system (DCS) experience; ideally Yokogawa
• Programmable Logic Control (PLC) ideally Rockwell and Siemens
• SCADA system experience SciTech, CITECT, Simplicity
• Technical / design team management and motivation
• understand the project development process for juniors / mid-tier miners

Preferred candidate profile

• Degree-level qualifications in Electrical Engineering, with specialised power engineering qualifications highly regarded.
• Extensive experience in analysis and design of HV power systems, including powerlines and substations.
• Proven expertise in specialised network analysis and performance standard studies to meet industry benchmarks.
• Demonstrated experience working on both greenfields and brownfields projects across mining, utilities and renewable energy sectors.
• Strong technical leadership capability with the ability to mentor team members and drive project delivery.
