Job summary

Flexiq is seeking a Lead Consultant in Melbourne to take ownership of client engagements, bring structure to complex problems and turn good thinking into practical outcomes.

You'll work with senior stakeholders, lead projects and workstreams, facilitate workshops and stay hands-on in delivering high-quality outputs. Flexiq offers flexible arrangements and opportunities to strengthen our consulting capability and growth.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' relevant professional experience in consulting or advisory roles.
• Confident problem solver and communicator across strategy and hands-on delivery.
• Experience in management or engineering consulting, infrastructure, utilities, energy or major projects.
• Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Commerce, Business Management or similar field.
• Post-graduate qualification or certifications highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Lead consulting engagements and workstreams from concept through to delivery.
• Build trusted relationships with clients and senior stakeholders.
• Facilitate workshops, governance forums and executive discussions.
• Develop practical strategies, business cases, recommendations and implementation plans.
• Mentor consultants and analysts and help strengthen how Flexiq delivers.

You'll work directly with senior stakeholders, lead projects and workstreams, facilitate workshops and remain hands‑on in creating high‑quality deliverables. You'll also help us strengthen client relationships, develop our consulting capability and contribute to Flexiq's continued growth.

What you'll bring

• You'll ideally have 5+ years' relevant professional experience, including strong client‑facing, advisory or consulting experience.
• You'll be a confident problem solver and communicator who can move comfortably between strategy, stakeholder engagement and hands‑on delivery. Experience across management or engineering consulting, infrastructure, utilities, energy or major projects will be particularly relevant.
• Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Commerce, Business Management or a similar field.
• Post‑graduate qualification or certifications will be highly regarded.
