Job summary

Harmony Australasia is seeking an experienced Construction Supervisor (Surface & UG Infrastructure) to lead major capital projects across Australia and Papua New Guinea mine operations. You will coordinate contractors, manage interfaces and drive safety culture on brownfields sites.

Reporting to the Manager Construction, you will ensure work is delivered safely, on schedule and within budget while maintaining high-quality standards and compliance. PNG travel and Brisbane-based weeks are required.

Qualifications

• Trade qualified professional with 10–15 years’ hands on experience in mining or heavy industrial environments, ideally within brownfields construction settings.
• Construction related licenses and certifications (high risk work, confined space, working at heights) highly regarded.
• Demonstrated experience in plant and infrastructure construction across surface and underground operations.
• Exposure to multi disciplinary project management within complex, live operational environments.
• Proven capability delivering construction works with significant design, regulatory and operational interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and execute construction activities safely across operational areas.
• Coordinate with project management and engineering teams to ensure work is planned with Work Orders, SOWs, and schedules.
• Lead contractor mobilisation, kick-off meetings and site establishment.
• Ensure effective safety controls, risk assessments and QA/QC surveillance across fronts.
