Job summary

You will oversee daily activities, supervise staff, plan menus, manage food quality and costs, and ensure efficient service in a busy environment.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Chef or in a senior kitchen role.
Strong leadership and organisational skills, able to guide and manage staff.

Responsibilities

Plan and develop menus in consultation with management, considering seasonal availability and demand.
Estimate food requirements and costs; help control kitchen costs and wastage.
Order food and supplies; maintain stock levels and inventory.
Prepare, cook and present meals to required quality and presentation standards.
Monitor dish quality during preparation and service; supervise staff and allocate duties.
Train kitchen staff in food preparation, techniques and procedures.
Discuss issues with management and staff; develop recipes and seasonal specials.
Prepare meals accommodating dietary needs and customer requests.
Monitor freshness and safety of ingredients; enforce hygiene and kitchen cleanliness.
