Job summary

Northrop Grumman Australia is seeking a Certification Lead Engineer in Adelaide to lead airworthiness, certification, system safety and design assurance activities for a high‑end unmanned aerospace capability.

You will head a multidisciplinary team, work with Defence and industry partners, and ensure compliant and effective delivery of design changes and engineering solutions. An engineering degree and defence/aerospace experience are required, with a TSPV clearance being highly regarded.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree and significant Defence or aerospace experience.
• Proven leadership of technical or engineering teams.
• Experience in aviation certification, modification and repair activities.
• Strong knowledge of airworthiness and system safety principles.
• Working knowledge of DASR requirements.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multidisciplinary team responsible for airworthiness, certification, system safety and design assurance activities.
• Collaborate with Defence and industry stakeholders to deliver design changes and engineering solutions.
• Manage delivery with direct reports and develop a high-performing engineering team.
