OneZero Financial Systems is seeking a Lead C++ Software Engineer to join our Canberra office. You will lead a global team of developers, work on core technologies and real-time trading systems, and balance coding with people management.

The role is full-time with a flexible hybrid work arrangement and relocation support to Canberra. You will contribute to high-performance platforms used by financial institutions worldwide.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of industry experience in C++ development.
• At least 3 years of technical management or lead experience.
• Good debugging skills.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented design principles.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience contributing to employee performance review processes.
• Relevant tertiary qualification.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineers should expect to spend, on average, around 50% of their time managing their engineering team and 50% on actual coding.
